Welcome to my site, 

I am an Assistant Professor in Residence at the University of Connecticut whose work is centered in the biological sciences and science education. My training as a developmental biologist led me to the conclusion that excellence in any individual field requires interdisciplinary mastery, both of related fields and skill sets. I strive to connect the biological sciences with chemistry, physics, and statistics, while helping my students expand their critical and quantitative reasoning abilities.
